The vaccine is available to men and women. If you want it, you can schedule online at CVS and just get it.
It's a 3-shot series that takes about 8 months to complete (shots at 0, 1-2 months, and 6 months) and you must complete all three shots before you turn 46 to avoid having to get a prescription.
Yes these are the public talking points. But thinking it through logically makes no coherent sense. It angers me that the public is lied to that way.
