Check out the manufacturer savings coupons. You can also ask BCBS for an exception. We’ve had to do that with a different medication for my DD (different insurer too).

The card off the dupixent site brings your cost to $0. Even if you have private insurance it takes your cost to $0.

Wow. Was just about to ask for this for my 7 year old. How much was it with BCBC FEP?

We use dupixient for EOE and it does not look like any of the other drugs are actually approved for that use. I don’t know how they can do this. (Well I do know) but I think patients should raise heck.

It seems like the height of hubris to say “use this other stuff off label” instead of what was approved.

Anyone successfully get a formulary exception?

If they can charge whatever they want for drugs, they will. Refusing to coverage a drug at a ridiculous price is the only way.

Blame the drug company. There’s no reason this drug should cost $25k per year.

OP here. Yes, I’m hopeful one of the other meds will work. It’s just difficult to give up one that has been so effective.

So I did some digging and it looks like they are switching to a cheaper competitors. Neither competitor approved for other conditions however, only eczema.

I’m also on this medication this sucks. I need it both for my eczema and my sinuses.

Ugh, this medication has been life changing and it’s been removed from the BCBD formulary for 2026. Anyone else dealing with this? Is there an easy way to search FEHB plan formularies?
