Hamas was just Gaza. There have been times when Israeli soldiers would occasionally forcibly remove some illegal settlements but those days seem long gone. I think they've been pretty explicit about taking over the whole thing over the past year, ad violence against Palestinians in the WB has been much worse since the Gaza war started.

In past years there have been a handful of Jews and Palestinians in the WB committed to community with each other, but sometimes the Jews involved get attacked themselves.

Seemed like for years some ultra conservative Jews settled in the WB as they wanted and even ignored orders from Jerusalem to not settle there.
