Lodge is made in China.

Le Creuset is made in France.

I love my lodge. I was tempted by Le Creuset, but you can get the same quality in lodge for much less.

I have a 7 qt Le Creuset that I got from their outlet store 25 years ago. I've used it several times a week since then for everything from soups, braises, roasts, bread. It's indestructible and beautiful.

Le Creuset. I have pieces that are 80 years old and still look like new.

The Amazon Basics one is just a rebranded Lodge. I have both, they're exactly the same.

Le Creuset forever. Unlike regular pots and pans they truly never have to be replaced. My most used piece I got almost 15 years ago, use it near daily, and whilst it doesn't look brand new (the enamel inside is pretty stained) there is not a single chip on it anywhere. I have become a collector since then and don't regret it at all. They're worth the price and then some.

I have a Lodge and Le Creuset in different sizes. The Lodge works fine, honestly and has held up. I did snag my Le Creuset on sale so if you can find that it is pretty versatile.

+1. Never thought any pot could be worth that much, but we got one as a wedding gift, and have added several more over the years. Even my cheap-ass ex admitted they're worth the price.

I got mine at Costco for about $25, normally $50.

We have a Martha Stewart 5 (or 6, maybe) quart Dutch oven that lost a piece of its enamel coating on the bottom, so we're looking to replace it. We noticed Staub had 7 qt size on sale for $300. Is it worth it to upgrade? What about La Creuset? Comparable to Staub?
