Yup. I missed anything about reserved seats for home schools but I'm sure that's part of it too

Take screenshots of all your questions and send them to MCPS staff afterward with a passive aggressive note saying, “you must have run out of time and couldn’t get to my question. I look forward to your reply.”


Can folks also take screenshots and/or video of how MCPS is framing the public participation? I.e. f they have an agenda slide, does it say there will be time for "feedback" or just "questions"? Is there a slide before they open it up for "questions" and if so how is that framed? Things that can be then sent to the Board of Ed to show that they cannot count these sessions as opportunities for community feedback because they did not actually invite feedback...

What I'm wondering is if they have been able to jump high enough fast enough to update the info from last week's BOE meeting... like Crown being a holding school - if that's feasible, how does THAT impact the boundary study and so-called program analysis. But my hopes are not high.

I assume there will once again be no real feedback solicited but they'll instead run through a presentation to explain their proposal and then ask if folks have clarifying questions. If so, can anyone attend and try to capture some evidence of it that can be shared with the Board of Ed or others when MCPS later tries to claim that this was part of their community feedback process? I'm personally unavailable unfortunately.

(Or if they're turning over a new leaf and do indeed provide opportunities for people to share their thoughts, suggestions, and critiques, please let us know!)

Also, if they were to actually collect feedback on their proposed version in these meetings, please feel free to share thoughts here on what you'd argue are the most important things to mention...
