I would look around to see if I saw anyone to ask if it was theirs and otherwise I would leave it there because the majority % of people in this world probably need $30 more than me!

No, it legally is, which really surprised me because I don't see how that can be the case. I could see for something like an item or a significant amount, but not random small amounts of money. It doesn't really make sense.

Cash? If there's no one around, I keep it.

If someone's nearby, I'd probably asked them if they dropped it.

This has happened twice for me with finding $20. Both times, no one was around, and I kept it.

Do you think it's enough to post on nextdoor about it (or similar local group)?
