We visited Conn College as our last stop after touring Amherst, Middlebury, Wesleyan, Dartmouth, Brown. We found the campus to be pretty and the tour guide we had was the most articulate and delightful student we met on all these tours. My DH, DD, and I all commented to each other afterwards on how impressed we were with her. She was involved in many different activities - niche science research with a prof, dance, student newspaper leadership. My DD ultimately did not apply because the school vibe felt kind of gentle and DD is rowdy and didn't quite seem a fit. But seemed like a nice place for kids who'd like a nurturing environment with a warm vibe.

Great community and even better view. Also the mascot is the camel which excited both my kids for some reason 😂

There have been other threads you can find. There are some haters.

My kid is there. I think the campus is quite pretty, and it’s actually in a nice coastal area. It’s not as well-appointed as some schools with a lot more money, like Williams or Bowdoin. It has a friendly vibe, and my kid is very happy.

They give pretty significant merit aid (or what some insist on calling tuition discounts). I think up to about $40K a year for kids with top stats. In my view that makes it a better deal than some slightly higher ranked schools that offer no such aid (think Bates, Colby, Hamilton, Vassar).

We took our kids to see it a few years ago. It was smaller than I expected. It also wasn't very updated either.

I visited with one of my kids. Students seemed friendly. Campus was pretty enough. My kid wanted a larger school so didn’t apply, but seemed fine and would have been a good academic fit for my student.

It is a quaint and cozy environment, perfect for a student who does not want a massive state school or an urban non-campus.

Overall great!
