So, if it holds, it should be easier to make dinner reservations, and not necessarily a month in advance, and I can get some contractors to do work on the house for reasonable prices again.

Are there any downsides?

This was expected, and is partly due to federal job loss and loss of federal funding. MD is also hit hard. The Trump administration has ensured that VA returns to blue.

100%. This is the big issue and it’s troubling how the R candidate is so focused on transgender people she ignores trump’s attacks on our economy. She like all other republicans fall in line with trump no matter the effects on their own constituents.

Some very concerning economic data coming out:

- The state’s two largest metro areas — Northern Virginia and Hampton Roads — are now losing jobs.

- Virginia’s economic growth is now among the lowest in the country and is projected to remain slow through at least the first two years of the next governor’s term.

- Unemployment is rising statewide and is projected to keep rising in 2026.
