This is new this year but DD is seeing several teachers do this. A friend with no extra time on a 504 or IEP will get some leeway but another kid will not get leeway because the teachers don't like them.
Same. Op there isn’t much you can do. As long as the due date and deadline were clearly communicated. If the teacher isn’t providing an assignment list with this information -ask for it and place a copy in a highly visible spot so your dd can keep track of the assignment for her classes. Also this a good lesson to kids that favoritism is applied in lots of places. Sometimes your dd will benefit from that sometimes not. It’s not fair and all you can do it try your best.
