I couldn't afford them in my 20s but a friend and I both just bought our first pairs this month. We do not care what anyone thinks.

I just bought a pair (to relive my high school and college years) and didn't like them anymore. I found them too heavy and bulky. It made me sad. I'm officially an old lady!!

I never wore them back in the day but think they are cool.

The nice thing about being a certain age is you can stop GAF about what others think. So, ignore everyone here and do what YOU want to do. But I just told you to ignore all of us, so...lol

Would I wear them to a job interview where everyone is wearing suits? No. Am I likely to be interviewing for a job where everyone is wearing suits? Also no.

Exactly.

Ah, you haven't hit the "I don't care what people think" part of your 40s. It's coming!

I wear docs to work daily and I’m 45, so I don’t see why not?

They aren’t old lady shoes. Loser.

DP
Of course they are! But being ‘old lady’ isn’t the insult to me (or others) that you think it is.

+1

I wear Birkenstocks (still) and have since the 90s. If I liked Dr Martin’s, yeah I’d rock those old lady shoes too. I’m of the ‘I wore them back when’ mentality.
