Some sports have mandatory study hall after school before practice. Some don’t, depending on what time they start.

I don’t believe this is from a Gonzaga parent. Of course some kids have straight A’s, but never saw DC doing homework?

Not OP but my kid gets straight As all honors and very rarely do I see him doing homework. He gets most of it done during school via his free period or his sport's study hall. And by rarely, it is maybe 1 or 2 nights a week for 20-30 minutes. He's just always been efficient with work v. my other children that took much longer to get their work done.

There isn’t any but it wouldn’t really matter if they did. The colleges are aware of which ones inflate and adjust accordingly. Look at where the school regularly send kids to college. Every year a few Gonzaga grads go to the top schools and many more go to the next rung down. It’s all good.

It's been may years since DS graduated, but with mid term and final exams counting for 1/3 of quarterly grades, grade inflation is non-existent.

DS is an upperclassman at Gonzaga and I agree with this. Students need to work very hard to earn As.

OP, this is the kind of unhelpful stuff you’re going to get without details. What are you really asking? From my experience, there’s a big difference between regular and honors workload but grading would be considered (as a PP said) is old school and fair in all classes. There are some really smart kids who get straight As and there are plenty who struggle. But not sure what you’re really asking about.

None, it’s pretty fair old-school grading

Is there a substantial difference between the degree of course difficulty from 9th to 10th grades making A’s harder to come by?

How much grade inflation is there at Gonzaga? Is it different for Honors vs. regular classes?
