You're not reading this data correctly. 32 offers only means they went down the list to find someone interested in filling an unexpected slot and willing to start at a new school in October. Most HS student would be harmed by starting a new school 6 weeks into the school year and would decline (thus comparable October numbers for selective schools)

I understand the data perfectly well thank you. 32 offers not 32 spots.

Also, 14 offers to the Equitable Access waitlist.

Yes regarding L-T. Construction that was supposed to be done before school started in August was not even up out of the ground at that point. They now claim it will be done before kids are back in the building after winter break. I remain skeptical. Glad they didn't overextend with offers in this environment. Next year will likely be a different story once the school can spread out into the new space (though don't expect them to suddenly add a ton of seats, I just think there will be more cushion on the margins).

Not surprised about Brent though we don't know any Brent families who left this year. I am betting they just burned through waitlists when offers were made and they had to clearly disclose the swing space situation. I recall we were in a similar boat with an offer to CHML when they were renovating and it was the same thing -- we were one of many families who turned it down because we didn't want to commit to busing our then-3 yo kid across town daily.

Very little movement at LAMB. Mundo Cook continues to clear its list.

Very easy to get into Two Rivers.

Which is too bad for them. After some initial bumps, the busing has been fine.

ITDS didn't move at all for 5th. Wow. It did move for 6th though.

Thomson is also a feeder for John Francis but BASIS is actually closer for most inbound kids at Thomson, so a handful go there instead

John-Francis made a ton of waitlist offers between August and October. 16 for 5th, 32 for 6th, 21 for 7th. I guess they got fewer Cleveland, Garrison, and Seaton students than expected?

There were 3629 unique 9th grade applicants in SY25-26.

32% applied to Banneker, 33% applied to McKinley, and 38% applied to Walls.

100% of DCI feeder students who wanted a DCI seat got one this year. Some were on the waitlist on results day but everyone was offered a seat by June.

Washington Cooper went through more of their waitlist than I would have expected for 9th grade. 38 matches+offers by October in the general lottery and 16 matches+offers by October in the equitable access lottery.
