But I do think their approach is counterintuitive since they have a lot of high use members who take multiple classes a day and are probably paying closer to $100 since they joined so long ago. I’d be willing to pay $220 if I could go all the time but work FT and have kids so it just isn’t worth it.

It's not free but they can get a discounted rate with some insurance plans but that limits their hours. If you go early or late you won't see the old crowd unless they happen to be full-pay.

I belonged for a bit due to the kids programming. They have a parents night out every weekend as well as many kids classes. The locker rooms are big and offer amenities like towels, razors, q-tips. They now have a nice workspace for those that want to work and then workout. The indoor/outdoor pools are very nice. Lots of class choices with limited sizes.
That being said, my DD hated the kids programming. I didn't have time to use the classes.
Lifetime is free for those elderly due to Medicaid, which is why the place has so much programming for seniors.
Quick tip - if you use the salon in any form, you can use the facilities for free for the entire day (as well as the kids programming).

Unless they kick people out for having a cellphone conversation, leaving their shit everywhere, and not putting things back where they got them from or not picking up after themselves, $220/month is insane.

This is also my experience. I am paying around $150 because I joined right when things began opening post-Covid. If you are a class person you can't find better--there are usually four classes of various stripes going on at the same time in the various studios. The Arora programming for old people has really overwhelmed my club. I don't want to only talk to old people but that's how it feels. If you are just looking for a place to do your own workout you can find cheaper elsewhere. Which club are you looking at?

My 16 year old son recently joined. He pays slightly less due to his age and only using one location, but honestly soooo much cheaper than what I was paying monthly for his small group lessons at a sport facility.

Spacious, clean, well maintained, a lot of group classes, just about every piece of fitness equipment, and unbeatable kids programming.

I was also a lifetime fitness member prior to Covid. We had the family package. We dropped the membership in 2020 and then when we were ready to re-up in about 2022 we were shocked by the prices. I now go to one life.

Absolutely ridiculous. No way would I pay that to go there (I also used to be a member).

Why is Lifetime so expensive? I was a member up until maybe 2022 paying about $110 a month. I inquired about joining and the price is now $220 a month for an individual.
