Joss & Main might have some options that work for you. For example:

This. Get something that is solid wood and has been restored. Lots of those are floating around.

Little Homestead in Rockville says on their website that dressers start in the 1200s (though that might just be two drawers).

They have solid, attractive stuff.

Depending on the location, I have seen some nice dressers built and ready to go at Home Goods. It is worth it to go look. I like the Rockville and old town stores

Have you checked Belfort? I haven’t shopped dressers lately so I could be mistaken but I would think they have something in your range perhaps - if via clearance center or any specials they are running.

+1, Macys or Costco with white glove "installation" means they carry it up and put it together if needed. My bedroom set is from Macys and I love it.

It's hard to get fully assembled furniture up stairs, so I wouldn't judge something inferior just because it needs assembly.

Ok then- what brands do you think hold up? Because ikea stuff dressers have been hit or miss in terms of longevity.

Hi,
I'm looking for a decent quality dresser for under $1400 that doesn't come in a flat pack. I feel like its impossible to judge if things are well made or not online.

Anyone have any tips for me?
