Hi everybody! Me & my family have been looking for a new house in a more quiet & safer area. We currently live near Gaithersburg, and feel like it does not fill our boxes at all, as we kind of regret moving here few years back.
We have had multiple packages stolen and attempted car break ins over 15+ times in the past 4-5 months, and our child’s elementary school is doing horribly with test scores and such. Plus, we also wanted some land and peace, so we found a house in the AG reserve, north of Poolesville.
We have kids, so schools are a very important factor for us (Pre-k & 2nd.) The house we are pretty sure about buying is zoned for Monocacy ES in Dickerson(?) near fredco line. I did research on the school and turns out the FARMS rate is nearly 30%. Im not a classist or against poor people (before people want to say things) but we just thought that Poolesville was one of the if not the wealthiest communities in MOCO. Other than that the school seems OK. Another question is, is the area MAGA? Driving around with my family we got kind of a “trailery redneck” vibe which is fine, but we just want to know to generalize the area.
If you have any experience with the school itself please comment down below or give some more insight of the area! Thank you!
