I live in CA. I was at a party last year when someone brought out desserts and little dishes with M&M’s and little dishes of “candies” that, luckily, I realized were gummies. I left the party soon after since I was one of 3 people not partaking in the gummies. I’m glad I realized.

A few years ago I got a massage and afterward the person said she’d used lotion and oils with CBD (I learned this when she asked if I wanted to buy the products). I was really taken aback because I don’t know how / whether that gets absorbed or would show up if tested. But then I decided it was fine since I switched to a team where I no longer have / need a clearance and because my agency doesn’t do random drug testing. Still, I was surprised she didn’t check first.

No way I would risk my almost 20 year career to try gummies. (I’d also be nervous because things affect me strongly - I often take children’s doses of things like Advil.)
