County concil oversees the BOE and they don't have to fund it.

Then they'll cry to County Council who just ponies up $. Then taxpayers lose and every other service and dept in MoCo loses as their $ gets taken by MCPS.
Besides, I don't think BOE is voting on the 6 Region Model. BOE will vote on boundary study next spring.
Mink got MCPS on the record that not only *will* the Board of Ed vote on this, they have to vote.
Ordinarily I would say the Board would just go along despite all of this-- but Yang has always been at least a little independently-minded (not hugely so but it's something) and is running for County Council so maybe there's a chance.

In fact the ones I heard mention it do not think it should continue or be replicated. I think overall they think kids should go to their home schools as much as possible.

DCC residents are mad.
There is no budget.
Council doesn’t believe they can staff all programs effectively.
After County Council provided their feedback, did MCPS staff give the impression that they realized they were wrong and were going to make significant changes or did they simply double down and be like "we're still right."
