In 2024, only 40% of US residents were vaccinated against the flu and only 8% of adults had received the latest COVID booster. Did this dictate your behavior a year ago? If you care about these, get your own vaccines and move on with life.

The concern is less with flu and covid but more for things like measles, diphtheria, polio etc.

Add the anti-vax nonsense now to my list of reasons why I will continue to stay out of insane Florida.

Florida PP here-I don't think it's an uneducated thing to ask. It should be asked and discussed.

OP, I live in Florida (Tampa Bay area) and everyone I know vaccinates, just like before. It's probably similar in central Fl.

If I was immunesuppressed, I wouldn't travel here or anywhere in winter for that matter-but for regular vaccinated people, it's fine.

I’m more concerned no one in Florida has car insurance and they drive like either super old people or have never driven a car before.

I recommend just staying home. Don’t take any chances.

I think what FL did is beyond moronic but FYA Europe has had very lax vaccine requirements for a while (fun fact, a lot of the OG anti vax movement was inspired by Europe’s significantly less strict vax requirements).

So if you’ve been to Disney or anywhere else with Europeans in the past, you’ve already been exposed to unvaccinated people.
