I got these but I think I paid about $70 on sale as I couldn’t decide and needed something quickly. I had planned to upgrade but love them. I am struggling with things burning as pans seem to get really hot. I also feel like the cooking as not as even as o had hoped.
We got green pans and le creuset signature from Williams Sonoma so I guess I was hoping for a little more evenness on the cooking. One thing I’m struggling with is that it’s hard to make sure the pan doesn’t slide, so sometimes it might not be positioned just right. That’s user error I guess.
The other thing I am not crazy about is the humming noise.
I definitely need a larger sized non stick type frying pan so if anyone has something that works great I’d love to hear it.
I was sad to give up all my old caliphate hard anodized pans.
Yes of course I use the boost function. I like my larger all-clad non stick frying pan. Those surface sizes are perfect. I have a shallow one and the deeper one is perfect for things I start as a fry then add sauce and lots of other things to.
Now I'm just on the hunt for a larger surface but still mid-size pot that's not the huge dutch oven size that I should only pull out rarely but seem to have to use to get the boil going.

I use Le Creuset and find my bigger pans with larger surface area work well. I had never had induction before recently and found it works well but you need to turn the heat on higher than you think for things to go faster than gas. I don't turn it on highest setting but I turn it to medium high so I am not waiting so long.

We did switch out a gas cooktop for induction when we bought our house almost 15 years ago, and I’ve never regretted it. We have a Miele, and it boils water quickly, has good temp control, etc. We use Calphalon pans for the most part plus an off-brand enameled Dutch oven we picked up somewhere many years ago. I’m sorry that OP is not getting the expected performance from their induction stove.

I have had a ge induction stove for 10+ years and have been more than happy with it. I bought a set of tramontina cookware at Walmart when the stove was installed. Those pots and a number of iron pans I had had for years have been all that I needed.
Love induction. We’ve been looking at houses to downsize and if the one we choose has a gas stove, I intend to change it out to an induction.

Hmmm, I've never heard this complaint about induction cooktops. Our water boils lightening quick.
We have a Thermador induction cooktop, and I use mostly Fissler pots, as well as my trusty Le Crueset dutch oven and All Clad fry pans.
Something is not right -- that's incredibly frustrating.

I got a Tramontina set for a couple hundred from Amazon. The pans are probably too small for a family of four, but they work fine for two of us. I also use my old Creuset and another pan or two I've had for a while.
It's a Bosch cooktop. Everything works great! Your problem is mysterious.

I could have written your OP. We have a very expensive Bosch and bought the most expensive All-Clad to go with.
Water took forever to boil. Seriously. In a mid sized pot on the mid-sized burner it was close to like 8-10 minutes. Repair man said everything was working fine.
I have found that the huge pots with a big surface area are necessary, even on the mid-sized burner. It's infuriating.

I'm very disappointed in my new induction stove; feel like I was sold a lie. The repair guy says it is working as intended. My cookware is midrange, couple hundred dollars for a small set.
Would different cookware make a big difference? If you love your induction stove, what are you using?
