VT runs a summer camp. Not sure if Cornell still does, but that’s a nice place to be in the summer and the dining hall food is really good. Look at Penn State too — they have a nice outdoor long course pool.

Looking for other programs for a summer swim camps. I was recommended the Longhorns Swim camp (more intense than the UVA one, which seems "fun") and the Navy Elite Program.

For summer 2026 already?

Yes. Isn't that crazy. UVA opens early. Most other camps will register at the beginning of December.

But I would say, what are you looking for? A fun reward type camp or a serious camp that is for a highly competitive swimmer?

Navy is actually 2 different camps, one is the elite camp more for older, faster swimmers with the requirement of at least A time and the ability to train at 8000 yards a day that is run by the women’s head coach; the other is the camp run by coach Roberts for all ages and varying abilities.

We did the Naval Academy for years. Coach Roberts is fantastic.

We liked the Nike swim camp at University of Maryland. Run by a UVA coach.
