My kiddos don't care about slangy words for children. Although rugrats always was too much for me.

Sometimes we call them "B" (for boy). Always singular.

The only person I know who does this also says "the Wife." He's affecting a particular kind of persona that he thinks is funny. It's not offensive, though I do find him a little annoying.

I refer to my kid as “the munchkin” or when I’m talking about our the dogs, I refer to them as “the beasts” and sometimes my son gets lumped in with beasts, depending on how he is acting that day.
