In California, kids like this end up at Berkeley, or UCLA if they have a preference for Southern CA.

On the East Coast, similar story--honors colleges and state flagships, or where they get a lot of merit/full merit rides. Some will also end up at specialized programs like 7 year medical programs if that aligns with their interests.

We are in MD, public high school. Mine got into UMD with honors & merit. Also accepted to VT.

Applied to a limited enrollment major.

WL or rejected from Ivies and private top 20s.

ECs are regular ECs including PT jobs, Varsity sports (not recruited), volunteering, tutoring, coaching, clubs and honor societies. Normal awards like AP Scholar. Solid essays. Full pay. My student falls into this category and they are not alone.

Anywhere within top 50.

How many kids with this profile in DC's school? How many gotten in T20 T5lac each year?

At TJ, most likely looking at UVA, WM, VT, UMD.

At a normal high school with only a few this kind of profile, probably T20 yes.

Generally, state flagships or T50-20 privates.
No shade on the stats, those are great and maybe the outcomes will be different this year with more focus on the hard numbers rather than the holistic factors. It is just that the T20 and tops LAC's are highly rejective for everyone and it usually takes a something extra/wow factor in the EC's to get lucky (unless they are hooked)

T20-T25. State honors colleges.

Depends on major -- maybe a T10 if/where there's a specialty program that aligns well with student's interest and ECs.
