I do use the flat sponge cloths that can be washed, I use them for one use then wash.

Kinda wasteful to throw out after 15 minutes. So you wash a water glass then toss?

Probably too long, but I know it when I see it.

I put them in the dishwasher and I replace the metal scrubbies idk, every six months? Whenever they sort of start to fall apart.

Less than a month. Once the crud is difficult to remove or pieces start to come off or it looks they are simply a mechanism to add germs rather than remove them.

Metal scrubber is one use and then trash. 15 mins.
Brushes, I bleach them after 1-2 uses.

A few months. I put it in the dishwasher every time I run it. Lasts a lot longer that way.

Like half a year to three months. AKA way too long. I try to remember to change them out once a month, but that rarely happens.

I couldn't take it anymore and stopped using sponges altogether. Instead, I use washable dishcloths for most things and those thin green scrubbies for anything that needs scrubbing. The scrubbie gets stored in a little draining rack that suctions to the inside of the sink and that allows it to dry out so it stays fairly fresh. The dishcloth gets replaced with a fresh one daily and then tossed in the laundry with the towels.
