I watched some Murder She Wrote for cozy mystery vibes. Everyone on the show looks normal. Everyone has regular clothes, regular weight. We are so used to everyone being attractive/thin on TV now. Angela Lansbury was not thin, attractive, or young yet she's the lead.

It’s been years and I have a terrible memory, but I remember loving Dead Like Me.

Dead Like Me is really good

Night Court is one of my all time faves.

Buffy will never get old to me! I watch it so much still. My daughter and I binged it during the pandemic and she loved it, too. It was fun to get to see it through her eyes, because the plot twists and such were all brand new to her, whereas I have probably seen every episode 50 times over.

I will look up BSG for you. I loved that show. I remember loving the original when I was a kid, but the 2000s version is incredible. (Edited-looks like it isn’t currently available, except maybe try plex or fandango at home? Google was a little unclear)

I have been out of work since March (yes, I am looking), and the show I keep coming back to when I’m not watching whichever episodes of Buffy are on Fuse that day is Hot in Cleveland. It was a TVland sitcom with Betty White in her 90s, along with Valerie Bertinelli, Jane Leeves and Wendie Mallick. It’s just goofy, but the whole cast is really funny together and they had some incredible guest stars. Huey Lewis plays an aging rocker/love interest. Both the brothers from Wings have arcs. A couple people from Cheers show up. There is even a Jonas brother that plays one of the children. It’s on Paramount+.

There were some pretty good usa shows for a while - white collar with Matt Bomer was very good. I also liked Burn Notice and Covert Affairs.

2 other shows I really liked - Veronica Mars and Alias.

Have you watched Chuck? Spy show from like 2008-ish. I binged that when I had colon cancer 6 years ago. (No worries, I’m fine now)

There was a delightful show that was on when the writers strike happened called pushing daisies. It only got 2 seasons, sadly. But it was very well done.

Have you ever watched my name several or raising Hope? Greg Garcia is a local guy, and they make references to places around the dc area. In raising Hope, the dad is always wearing capitals shirts. These 2 shows are absolutely hysterical.

for pure fluff, I'm enjoying Nashville on Netflix. I love Connie Britton in this (pretty similar to Tammy Taylor in FNL - which I loved loved loved). I don't love most of the other characters/storylines but she and Charles Esten have enough screen time to carry the show - including skipping over other storylines.

Have you ever seen the show Battlestar Galactica? Not the original one from the 70s/80s but the remake that came out in the 00s. I highly recommend that one. The special effects are kind of cheesy (they weren't even that great the first time, it was a relatively low budget sci fi show) but the writing is really good and I think it's especially topical now in light of political upheaval and the AI development going on now. Actually, thinking about it makes me want to watch it again...

If you find the right BG streaming, can you report back? I often see it recommended but I'm never sure if I have the right one.

I loved Gossip Girl and didn't like Gilmore Girls either. Their patter resembles what people think witty people sound like, but nothing they say is actually funny. Can't stand it.

OP: And by old, I don't mean it has to be decades old. Just not on the air any longer.

I have some gaps -- never seen the West Wing, The Sopranos, Buffy, Veep, etc.

I'm watching Mad Men for the first time and think it's incredible.
