I've had a supervisory/high level govt job for a number of years. I want to find a non-fed job is that is much less responsibility and could be in a different field. How do I or should I even convey this in my resume/cover letter? I was planning to de-emphasize some of my leadership tasks (it's not this, but as an example - talk about my good writing skills vs. overseeing a team of writers - but my job title may make that look odd). I don't want employers to think that I'm not serious or just looking for something short term. I'm aware of and fine with the big pay cut. Does anyone have suggestions? Thanks in advance.
