Don’t share too many personal details at work. Get off of social media and don’t drink around coworkers ever.

Meeting with key people in your first 90 days is important.
Be sure what you are doing at work ties into overall company goals.
Create your own career plan so you can develop the skills and knowledge you most want.
Don't wait for your boss to create a career direction for you. Do this yourself.

The only advice that I can offer is, under the assumption that you are a male, is to shave every day.

I recently saw an article that said to try to get on a big project early on to gain visibility and show your skills.

Come up wih a 90 day plan to meet with people, understand their perspectives, and learn what opportunities exist for you to make a meaningful impact. Make some immediate wins and share them with your boss. You will be judged quickly. Focus on that first impression.

Congrats, OP!
I don't know anything about client services but one thing I love about a new job is starting with an organization system (for email and whatever else) that maybe it took me a while to develop in my last job.

Long time lurker, occasional poster. I’m starting a new job tomorrow after more than a year of on again and off again searching. I’m really happy and looking forward to it, after being in an environment charged with office politics. I found so much good advice here and so many great questions. Thank you for taking the time to encourage and hope for others.
If you have a minute, I’d love to hear any advice for starting a new job, especially in client services. Look forward to hearing your thoughts?
