Safe Routes to School (SRTS) is
a movement and federal program dedicated to making it safer and easier for children to walk, bike, and roll to school by improving transportation infrastructure and providing educational programming. SRTS programs encourage physical activity, improve community safety by reducing traffic congestion, and benefit the environment.
First thing they need to change the ridiculous 2 mile walking distance policy for high school. No kids will walk 2 miles to school each way safely.
