Yeah it could be either that she doesn’t trust you, wants to get the car checked out or wants to use insurance so she doesn’t get screwed… OR she wants to see how much $$$ she can get out of this by visiting a chiropractor and claiming injury.

There’s a lot of problematic chiropractors out there who will tell insurance the person needs a ton of medical assistance and then the chiropractor takes a cut, the person takes the rest. A lot of lower class folks even brag about how they made money from a fender bender.

You know what would be even less? Paying attention and not effing up other people's cars. That costs nothing. But since you choose not to do that, she gets to decide how to this gets remedied.

people like you are what’s wrong with society. Why do so many people assume the worst about their neighbor? $5oo is nothing compared to many people’s insurance deductibles and surcharges. Why makes someone pay all that extra money for nothing if they offered to work it out?

You simply go get your car checked out and get and estimate. If they don’t want to pay you take it to insurance. But why assume they will be uncooperative. Americans need to be more positive and loving other neighbors.

You don’t know there’s no internal damage, or secondary damage. I was slid into during an ice storm, not at super fast speeds, either, there was no damage, so we all left. Later when I got to work and went to retrieve my laptop out of the back, I realized that the rear passenger door on that side wouldn’t open. The impact made it all the way to the latch mechanism on the door.

There is no internal damage. It was a small side swipe with my mirror while moving slowly. There is 6 inch scratch on the side of her door.

Today I got in a minor car accident. It was my fault. There was no damage to my vehicle but the person I hit had a scratch. I asked if I could just pay her out of pocket instead of going through insurance. She said no.

When something like this happens does your insurance force you to go through them. It seems like it would be much cheaper for me to just pay to have it buffed.
