He's probably has used a $1.20 of hot sauce at this point. Invested conservatively, this could be $4 in 30 years.
Love the remark. Point made.
I have had random people confide in me over many decades as I, apparently, appear to be a considerate person who maintains confidences. Sometimes I am very surprised at how trivial folks' thoughts are. I wonder how they would react if a real emergency entered into their life/lives.

Anonymous wrote:I have a couple bottles of hot sauce in my desk drawer here at work. One of Texas Pete and one of Siracha.
There is another guy that works here that is always asking if he could borrow some as he 'left his at home'. It's no exaggeration that he has asked to use my hot sauce a dozen times. I've always said sure but it started to get under my skin because it became clear that he actually has no intention of buying his own $4 bottle. He just wants to freeload off mine.
So, today when he asked I said "Sorry, took it home last night- my DD asked for some and I didn't feel like stopping at Safeway."
Then he went out on an appt and saw me using my hot sauce on my leftover chicken and rice an hour later when he came back.
Now it's awkward.
Would you address it or ignore?
