Do you know for sure that these faculty members were let go? It’s so common in private schools for someone with an axe to grind or a love of drama to make an assumption that a teacher was fired. Typically contract renewals happen in February-April. Summer departures are often the teachers’ choice—sometimes for health and personal reasons.
I scrolled the faculty and staff directory. It looks like they have the same number of teaching staff and admin positions as ever. If anything, they may have added an admin position or two in recent years. So if anyone was let go, I don’t think it was to save on payroll expense.
I know for sure that these faculty members were let go. Actually they were blindsided by the decision. These were not people looking to leave because of new head of school. If you’ve been then awhile, you know that a lot of things have changed.
