I recently started reading ingredients more carefully. And now I make my own. I didn't find a single commercial product that isn't loaded with sweeteners and chemicals.

So I make two loaves on the weekend, and freeze one right away. A homemade loaf, carefully wrapped, lasts 3-4 days at room temp.

I eat the multigrain one Fresno love it. The kids occasionally eat the white bread. It’s pricey but has a fair amount of fiber and protein too.

Just get whole wheat bread. Many "whole wheat breads" are not really whole wheat, but a white bread with some wheat germ mixed in it.

Only about 3-5 actual whole wheat ones offered nationwide.

I've found that the Canadian White style bread is heartier and a *little* bit less sweet. It definitely holds together better for a grilled cheese.

Even the sourdoughs I’ve tried are sweet.

I’m not a fan of rye, and while pumpernickel works for sandwiches, I hate sweet sandwich bread for PB&J.

Help! Is there a packaged white bread that genuinely isn’t sweet?
