It's more complicated than that. Autism likely has multiple underlying causes for different subtypes.
Leucovorin may be able to mitigate effects in the subset of children with folate-related abnormalities, particularly those with folate autoantibodies that prevent folate from reaching the brain.
Trump and RFK didn't make this up. But it isn't likely to have an effect on most people with autism because that isn't their underlying cause.
