OP here. Can you please tell me which ones you’ve managed to get zero down leases on? I have been unable to find any. It’s not about being able to afford it. It’s about not being sure which car I want and only want to try it for a couple years.

Agree. We do all our leases with $0 down for this reason. We could buy the car for cash so it’s not about being able to afford it. We haven’t had any problem doing this with several different car brands. Most recent one was just over a year ago.

If you can get a good rate, you're better off financing. Put your cash somewhere that will earn you a return.

The amount they are putting down is the depreciation + a small percentage for dealer profit. You are basically paying for the largest amount of depreciation - the first 2 years.

For other cars like EVs the Fed Credit is throwing in 7500 for certain cars that bring the price down even more. And the manufacturers are going after the market and have some credits as as well. A lot of EVs are not profitable.

You can get a car from Amazon now -- not a lease but you can decide how much you want as a down payment. You can change the down payment and the length of the loan. The affect that has on the APR really varies wildly by the car though.

It's the same amount of money, they just get lower monthly payments. The cost is the cost. Do a longer lease or buy if you care.

What your are trying to do makes no sense. If you need a car for 24 months, catch an uber. Insurance alone will cost you more than taking uber 3 times a day.

Dude, you cannot afford the car. But you know this.

THe only time I ever see them is in connection with a brand new car. Not a new year, but a ground up brand new car like when the Ford Mach E came out. I saw some no money down offers.

Does this even exist anymore? Has anyone been able to get one. Seems like a unicorn.
