Mike's is super loud if you're seated in the middle. Make sure you get a table with a ceiling above you.

There's a Silver Diner in the mall parking lot. Easy parking, comfy booths, something for everyone (e.g., heart healthy, plant-based, vegetarian, gluten-free).

Springfield Mall has options- Maggianos, Chuy's, Yard House, are there, off the top of my head.

Where is Springfield is she staying?
Easy walk if she's staying at that Holiday Inn by the Springfield Kaiser.

I’d choose Mike’s American myself. Taiko Japanese restaurant on Backlick Rd is surprisingly good. Also, the restaurants in the mall are much better than they were a few years ago. There’s a Maggiano’s and Yards is pretty good.

Springfield doesn't have much. It's a dead zone. Old Town Alexandria is better.

Near Kingstowne there is Firebirds, Tuscan Grill, Burton’s.


Burton's isn't exactly Kingstowne, but if you are in the area, Matsui is nice.

Is she in the heart of Springfield? Mike’s American Grill, another Great American Restaurant, Stupid Good BBQ is across the street from Mike’s. If you’re looking more casual there are Eleni’s, Delia’s, Saratoga Pizzaria. There are lots of chain options if you actually want to go to the mall.

Near Kingstowne there is Firebirds, Tuscan Grill, Burton’s.

Thank you for recommendations for a place for dinner in Springfield. A friend in town and staying near there - she doesn't want to drive far. Wednesday evening. Any recommendations for a good place, not too loud, any cuisine.
