Beach week is a thing for DC area schools and has been since at least the early 1980s (probably before that). It tends to be a week or two after graduation. Back in the 80's everyone went to the Maryland and Delaware beaches but when they started locking down on kids being there without parents there was a switch to the Outer Banks. Those towns/rental companies got wise to the nonsense pretty quickly and now have very strict rental agreements. It's all bananas.

Why do the DMV schools keep going to Corolla? The leases literally all say "By signing this I agree to not bring a group of unrelated high school or college students" and then the rental agencies spend the week watching the houses for any signs of a teen group or party so they can jump in and kick everyone out.

There are about a zillion other beaches that don't have an issue with teens. I'm not sure why Corolla becomes the destination every year. It makes zero sense.

It’s the senior beach trip after vacation. Towns in the Outer Banks have literally changed laws as a result of the mayhem caused.

Parent who signs carries all the liability. Did you get suckered in?

Yes parent who signs must me on site. Esp in Corolla. Or they kick you out and keep your money. One parent signs and collects money from the others. Parent asks kid to sign contract on how to behave.

It so very common for multiple parents to be on site for the Corolla beach week. I will be there.

Surely there is someone in your kid’s grade who had an older sibling and their parents can tell you what’s been done.
