Subject: Insurance costs - EV vs Gas
I went from an 8 year old ice car to a 1 year old EV of the same class and saw a modest increase in insurance rates that is easily explainable by higher value due to newer car.

I keep reading that insurance costs are higher for EVs compared to a gas car. Does this vary by model or category? For example, is Insurance higher for a Tesla Model Y/Ioniq 5 vs a Honda CRV/Toyota Rav4?
