I've only worked with a few therapists and the only time this came up they said it was unethical to see seveal family members privately, or one while in couples therapy.

Therapists need to gain and keep clients so not shocking. It's a tough business.

My sister just told me her husband and their two adult children (18 and 21) see the same therapist individually.

It seemed odd to me - the three patients and the therapist are all okay with this. Is this a common practice?
