Any elder law lawyers here? I'm a long-time attorney who is looking to make this transition from federal employment. I've always had an interest but I had a job I loved and was good at so never pursued it.

If I wanted to make this transition, any recommendations where to start? I'm not looking, necessarily, to moving to a firm but doing something "of counsel" or starting my own thing. But, I need to get educated on the fundamentals, the landscape, etc. Ideally, I'd love a mentor but I have not found many attorneys over the years willing to do that sort of thing despite claims to the contrary (no judgment, I know ppl are busy).

Any initial starting points would be helpful?
