So in a sport that is based on times, a coach is not providing swimmers with said times?! You have a coaching problem.
Except this is high school swimming. Times are irrelevant for the season, other than qualifying for regionals/states and a swimmer should know if they get a qualifying time. Placement matters for a dual meet but only up to a point. The results of dual meets don't actually matter for anything other than bragging rights between schools. They don't impact standings at all. The only meets that actually count are districts, regionals, and states.
Swimmers can always get times from the timers if they want them. High school is for fun. If you are worried about times, talk to your club coach.
If HS swimming was “just for fun” they wouldn’t have districts, regionals, or states, and you qualify for those meets based on your individual times. It’s ridiculous that a HS swimmer would have to ask a timer for their time in order to know what their time was because their coach doesn’t put out the results or the meet isn’t on MM.
