Except for the lantern flies clinging to things and window screens.

It has been beautiful and sunny. I think what you're feeling is just regular depression (me too).

Needed - yes. Good - no. It’s depressing.

OP, I’ve been on an SSRI and it really helps with SAD. Fall is when it starts for me too.

It’s hot still. What are you talking about?

Yes, I’m feeling seasonal depression. Not sure if it’s about the change to fall or the winter of our democracy’s discontent.

It’s not about the temperature, it’s the drop in light. Try a light box and if that doesn’t help, talk to you doctor about medication.

Light box since 1996. Truly. They got better, more compact. I use my light pad about an hour in the morning while I do my web stiff, email, news, breakfast. No glasses on.

Yes, mine starts in Sept. it’s the change in light. I have used a light box for years. Last year it was more severe and I started Wellbutrin, which is now being used to treat SAD. It was remarkably effective for me. For the first time in my life I remember enjoying the beauty of changing leaves, versus feeling depressed by them.

The darkness. The lingering cold inside. The gray outside. Anything help? I already work out. Eat pretty healthy.
