Yeah that’s the aesthetic they’re trying to sell. I mean, if it works can you fault them for it? I think we need to relieve ourselves of the idea that companies are anything but mercenary. The woman I know who loves tuckernuck is neither white nor tall but it’s obvious that aesthetic is aspirational for her. She wishes she were white and blonde and tall.
