AU Basketball does a very reasonable birthday package that’s fun…tickets to a game in a dedicated section and party setup in the gym beforehand with pizza included. It was way less expensive than other venues and everyone loved it.

We rented out a movie theatre for my 8 year old. Most theatres have that option and you can invite up to 50 people!!

My 9 yo loved an indoor rock climbing party she attended.

Kinda far, but ClimbZone in Laurel is great fun

We set up a bunch of gaming stations- pokemon cards, N64, xbox, battleship, etc at the house and the boys rotated through. They LOVED it.

What does your kid like? My kid would be totally fine with having a few friends over and everyone playing Pokémon, for instance, but it just depends on what they're into.

We did an indoor waterpark for a 9th birthday party recently. Was a hit. Second the tranpoline park also.

My son turns 9 in October and I feel lost on birthday party ideas. We have done Bowlero, Dave and Busters in years past and he doesn’t want to repeat that. And I don’t want to do Chuck E Cheese. Any ideas? Closer to NW DC the better. Thank you!!!
