I repeat their name to myself 3x right after being introduced.

I have problems memorizing people's names and faces. Some kids do not look alike their parent(s) on physical appearance (hair, skin color or eyes etc) , especially those that are mixed or maybe they look like their grandparent(s) instead. That cause me more confusions whose kids they are. It is so embarrassing for me to say that out loud. They know who I am, and I have no ideas who they are or where I met them or what their names are. Any tips?
