Same here. I have a teen now and she's so chill and easy to be with and never screams at me or tells me she hates me or slams doors.

But she did all that stuff between the ages of 4 and 6 and I was like wtf what am I doing wrong how will we survive.

Now we joke that she was just very advanced and did her teen rebellion in preschool for some reason.

I often have the exact same thoughts. Hang in there.

I can’t believe I did so much online dating to find an emotionally mature partner and then went and had kids.

Today one kid hit me and then screamed at me and then when I drew a reasonable boundary they were like, “you hate me and I’m leaving forever” and then wanted to cuddle like 90 seconds after that. I love this little crazy person so much. I like to watch them sleep until my heart goes into like nuclear meltdown from loving them so much.

Kids are exhausting.
