I have a similar one but it’s a cardigan and I love it but it 2 seasons ago.

Gap usually has thin, reasonably nice merino sweaters for great prices.

OP here. Apologies but these two examples are precisely the types of sweaters I am NOT looking for.

What don't you like about them?

They were in sale and I think they are from last season, because I don't see them on the website right now. But I bet there are others that are good!

I have nice sweaters from Ref and Tuckernuck.

FWIW this LLBean sweater appears significantly better quality than the one I just sent back from Veronica Beard.

Try Aritzia. They have decent classic cashmere sweaters in that price range.

The thing I hate about LL Bean is you'll be seeing everyone wear the same sweater. Years ago I bought several versions of a cotton sweater they sold and any time I went to the store or my kid's school I ran in to 4-5 moms wearing the same thing.

I am looking for a sweater for this fall. Something good quality without being expensive. Something not boxy and not frumpy. Something that looks good with jeans and joggers (so not looking for business type sweaters). Prefer v necks or cardigan.

Any tips?
