I’d meet up for lunch once a month. It’s nice to have a mentor when you’re new.

Some leaders just say that stuff. I had a CEO say that to me when I first joined a company. I was like huh, that’s kinda weird. I carefully asked around. Everyone was like yeah,no, he always says that, no one does it. Ask around. You’ll get an answer.

Had an intro mtg with a senior sales exec who recently joined the org, we were talking shop. At the end of the conversation he said, "you really love what you do." I said I kinda do.

He said he was glad we had the meeting and we should have more of them, outside the support I’d be giving to him and his team.

I wouldn’t mind weekly or bi-weekly mtgs, but not sure what we’d talk about ? Work stuff? Our kids? As you all can surmise, networking does not come naturally to me! LOL!
