My kid was doing really badly in 7th grade Spanish.
Our district was using Que Chevere! textbooks. They sucked.

The curriculum was a jumbled mishmash of in-class dialogue, handouts, and out-of-order chapters from the textbook.
I managed to help my son catch back up by doing only 6 hours of work on IXL.COM's paid Spanish language drill site. I was pleased and ANGRY that it only took 6 hours of study to replace a semester's worth of classes.
Here is the site. It's aligned to a bunch of textbook series.

Duolingo can also help but it's laid out more to develop tourist type conversational skills. IXL is better for early grammar.
I also recommend IXL math and English to assess your kid's existing skills. A college educated parent can learn a lot from the diagnostics. If you can bribe your kid to practice grade-level math regularly, it's worth a subscription.
Good luck!
