Look at St. Lawrence U in Canton, NY. A bucolic campus in a small, safe town but with 4 colleges between two nearby towns providing plenty of collegiate atmosphere. It's kind of a mixture between the preppy nature of Trinity with the environmental, outdoorsy nature of UVM,..and although DCUM will never admit it, it's a well-regarded school in the NE. Extra = generous merit aid
