Bubble might restrict breathing. Mesh

But what is the cat backpack for? If it is for travel, I'd advise just getting a soft carrier with a shoulder strap.

I have a big ragdoll girl, and we've taken her through three different countries (are expats). I didn't like the cat backpack because she looks so scared when she's able to see everything around her in the airport. I don't think cats enjoy this kind of thing at all. My cat seemed much happer in the soft carrier that had a mesh door she could see out of, but she spent most of her time huddled against the back with her face to the wall of the carrier when we were actually in the airport walking around.

The advantage of the soft carrier with the shoulder strap is that it is essentially a rectangle, and it fits better on the floor of a plane near your feet than a tall backpack would.

If you just want to...take your cat on "walks" in the backpack, I kind of also think that cats don't enjoy that kind of thing. They aren't like dogs, and it scares them to be taken out of their safe, familiar zones into an area they don't know.
