Not OP, but I have. Why do you ask?

There are numerous issues that run with EDS as you get older, from the obvious joint and tendon weakness to GERD and pelvis weakness, etc

A diagnosis isn't really needed or helpful. Treat or manage your issues, as they arise. Do your own research, since you are the person who will always be the most concerned about you, more than a doctor or specialist.

I didn’t know I had it until DC was diagnosed with it. She has far more symptoms, but knowing this is my issue has helped me.

I’ve had thoracic spine pain for years and done PT for years.

Do you have a PT you would recommend?

Prism Spine and Joint is the best resource around here for HEDS. They don't take insurance.

I do not live near DC, but suggest you find an excellent physical therapist who can strengthen your body and get you more flexible in your spine. Good luck with finding someone.

I have been struggling with chronic pain in my upper back and shoulders. I have had two shoulder surgeries with no relief. My surgeon would like me to look into the possibility that I have Ehlers Danlos syndrome. I’ve done reading on it and can’t see how it would be possible to get to this age and not know it. Also, while there are parts of me that are very flexible, for the most part, my body has gotten quite stiff. Especially my thoracic spine. Does anyone out there have any insight into this condition and how it could affect your upper back and shoulders?
